The Medical Spanish Team!

Hi, I’m Molly Martin, MD. My passion for learning the Spanish language began after living in Bolivia in 1995 during a semester abroad. There I worked in a Women's Health Clinic in Cochabamba. I am currently practicing as a hospitalist in Minnesota.  I create these podcasts as a fun way to challenge my Spanish-speaking skills and help others learn along with me.

Patricia Bustamante de la Garza is a Spanish instructor with Language Tailor, an online Spanish Language School.  She has extensive training in both medicine and language instruction. She attended Medical School in Mexico City for four years. She went on to study Rehabilitative Audiology and then obtained degrees in Foreign Language Instruction and Clinical Psychology. She has authored such papers as "Aspectos Psicológicos del Paciente Hospitalizado," and has held positions as language instructor, translator and psychotherapist.  Pat is from Mexico City, Mexico.

Sarah Shelton and Urso Ramirez. Urso is originally from the Dominican Republic. He moved to the United States in his early twenties and currently studies  Mathematics and Economics in college. Sarah, like me, grew up in Minnesota. At a young age she started traveling to Nicaragua and has spent several years studying and working throughout Latin America. She graduated with a degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Minnesota, Morris.

Maria Bjorklund, MS plays the role of the patient in many of the Medical Spanish dialogues. She is originally from Peru. She has her masters in Education and teaches High School Spanish.

Drew Hoeschen and Ted Martin from Virtual Robotics designed the Medical Spanish Podcast Website and are the technical brains behind the scenes.
